CISF - Assistant Commandants (AC) Exam 2024
The UPSC conducts examination for the Limited Departmental Competitive Examination for the purpose of filling vacancies of Assistant Commandants (Executive) in Central Industrial Security Force (CISF). The Examination is restricted to only certain categories of departmental candidates of CISF.

Eligibility Criteria
The candidates should have completed 4 years of regular service as on 1st January, of the year of exam in the rank of Sub. Inspector (GD) / Inspector (GD) including the period of basic training and should have clean record of service till issue of offer of appointment.
A candidate must not have attained the age of 35 years on the 1st August, of the year of exam. However, the upper age limit is relaxable up to a maximum of five years if a candidate belongs to a Schedule Caste or a Schedule Tribe.
Exam Pattern
The written Examination comprises two papers. Paper 1 is General ability and Intelligence and Professional Skill of 300 marks with 150 questions and 2½ hours duration. Paper II is Essay, Precis Writing and Comprehension of 100 Marks and 2 hours duration.

How to Apply
You are required to fill in the application form online on the UPSC's website. You are also required to route a hard copy of the online-submitted application through proper channel to the CISF authorities.
On the registration module, provide your Name (as recorded in the matriculation or secondary examination certificate), CISF Number, rank and Date of Birth (as recorded in the matriculation or secondary examination certificate). Provide your e-mail address and re-enter your e-mail address. Enter the random number which is appearing on the screen and click the submit button.
